Remember when trump did _____. There are just too many things that could go in that blank. Seriously, just off the top of my head; mocking a disabled reporter, said he’d sleep with his daughter, claimed Climate change was a hoax created by the Chinese, cancelled the traditional Ramadan celebration at the White House, claimed millions voted illegally, said his inauguration was the most attended ever despite clear evidence to the contrary, the list goes on and on.
The problem I wanted to write about is that there is simply too much bullshit coming from this president for us to even remember all of it. It’s like a Jedi mind trick, but instead of the force, we simply get hit in the face by more and more bullshit until we can’t tell one turd from another. We cannot, however, let ourselves forget the early issues however. It seems to me that these days everybody is so wrapped up in the most recent lie or childish tweet that we forget things that are really big issues. We have a president who thinks it is OK for him to grope any woman he wants because he is rich.
One of the things we particularly need to remember is his campaign promises. Those statements that got him all that applause from crowds of cheering idolaters in his infamous rallies, and particularly we need to remind those people that Trump is not following through on his promises. While Trump not following through on his promises is actually a good thing, because while most of what he promised was stupid at best and harmful at worst. Promising not to touch medicaid for example, is one issue we should ram down the throats of every MAGA hat wearing imbecile who claims Trump has kept his promises and is working for the people. The 800 Billion in Medicaid cuts comes from a bill that the White House claims Trump was integral to writing, and while that’s likely another lie, the damage the bill would do is very real.
As far as his tweets go, the muck there is even more difficult to sift through. As soon as we focus on one moronic or offensive tweet, he’s surely enough sent out another one. On June 30th he tweeted that Republicans should abandon HIS VERY OWN PLAN that repeal and replacement of Obamacare should be simultaneous, which was almost immediately overshadowed by his outrageous tweet about Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
The problem with pinning down Trump seems to be that he genuinely does not give two shits about what anyone thinks. He believes, as he did with all of his failed products (Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump Airlines, Trump Bottled Water, Trump Magazine, Trump The Game) that his name is all it takes for success. But with a 39% approval rating he will hopefully have a rude awakening in 2020. We cannot let America forget every ridiculous thing Trump has done in his entire life. There is nothing normal about this political climate, and there is certainly nothing normal about Donald Trump.
